As you do some research, you may even find authentic, as well as world recognized teachers that can trace their methods back to Dr. Usui. In addition, there are many support groups available for students that are learning more about Reiki.

In modern times, it is easy to understand why someone would want to contact a higher power or spiritual entity. When it comes right down to it, we all need some help. Therefore, when beginning the path to develop psychic abilities, you need to consider your own life stresses and how they may be used to manipulate you.

At the same time, you must always consider the motivation and the credibility of the people that you choose to learn from. Without a question, one of the best things you can do for yourself is to try and trace the person back to a specific nation, and ask the representatives of that specific ethnic group if they recognize a specific person as a spiritual leader.
