It came as a bit of a shock to me the day my Mum told me that she thought I had a strong Psychic capability. Mum has always had a sixth sense about certain things like thinking about someone and having them call her within 24 hours etc, so I was a bit surprised…

The first experience that I can remember was when I was about 9 . Mum and I were sitting in our lounge room, which is connected to our dining room and Mum asked me to look into the dining room out of the corner of my eye. She thought she had seen someone, but wasn’t sure. When I looked, I distinctly saw an old lady sitting at the dining table eating. I had no idea who she was but told Mum that I saw her. Mum just nodded.

A few weeks later, I told Mum that the same old lady visited me during the night and spoke to me. She would appear in my room by walking through the walls and when I first saw her, I thought it was my older brother, but then she looked like an old lady. I’m not sure whether it was because she looked like my brother initially or whether that’s what my mind thought I saw to put a common framework around the vision. Anyway, this old lady stood to my bunk bed and said something, but I can’t remember what she said, but she said something relating to the next day. At school the next day, what she had told me occurred….. I just wish I could remember now what it was.

Mum asked me to describe the lady and I told her that she was little, with Gray / White hair, wearing a red floral dress and she was cranky looking. Mum asked if the lady reminded me of anyone and I thought she looked like my Mum and Grandma, just angrier. Mum thinks that this lady is her Grandma, who died when I was 9 months old.

We don’t have pictures of my Great Grandma displayed in the house and if I had seen a photo, it was a long time ago.

The lady kept visiting at night for a long time and sometimes she would scare me! One day, Mum asked me to ask her what the message she had was. I didn’t know at the time, but Mum had a few worries going on and she knew that her Grandma wanted to tell her something. That night I asked her if she had a message for Mum, she did - she told me to tell Mum “It will all work out, what you want to happen will”. I passed the message on.

I’m now 11 and haven’t seen Grandma for a while, but Mum suggests that I ask her to visit. Mum feels her Grandma with her regularly and knows that she is here to look out for us.

I’m taking the course to learn to be psychic, because I want to keep that part of my sense open and alert. It’s a lovely thought that those who have passed can still be with us and look over us all the time.

I also believe in Guardian Angels who are spirits who have passed but have taken a role to protect us in our journey through this world.
