Chances are when you were little, you heard all sorts of fairy tales about wicked witches, demons, and misguided wizards. In each case, it is important to realise that these villains had to have started with an intent to develop psychic power. While they may not have ever meant to become harmful or dangerous individuals, the results speak for themselves. Therefore, it is very important to develop psychic power in a way that is ethical and causes as little harm as possible.

As I have said said previously, Psychic powers are not dangerous.  However, the intent with which they are developed and used may well be.  It is up to ourselves to  ensure that we use the abilities we develop responsibly.

Unfortunately, in today’s world, very little attention is paid to moral development and internal discipline. In the rush to develop psychic power, many people look only at the potential to perform parlor tricks, or have something more amazing to say in a group than the next person. As may be expected, when dealing with entities and the overarching human consciousness, this failure to recognize certain laws and values can wreak havoc.

In today’s world, it may not always be easy to even determine what is truly ethical, or what does the least amount of harm. If you go out and ask other people what is right or wrong in terms of politics and governance, chances are no two people will give you the exact same answer. While this may in part be an expression of individualism, it is also a symptom that we as humans may not always know what is “right” or “wrong” from the perspective of a Creator, or universal outlook. Without a question, if you intend to develop psychic power, you will very seriously need to consider spirits, entities, and energies that you may not be able to see or perceive.

Some people might feel that all you need to do in order to develop psychic power responsibly is to adhere to the standards of your community. We have only to look at politicians becoming embroiled in prostitution scandals and other perversions to realize that we cannot always trust what community leaders tell us. In addition, for people that view the legal protection of certain rights as immoral, written laws are no longer a reliable guideline for determining what is ethical.

As you can see, the question of how to develop psychic power responsibly is not as easy as it appears. For the most part, you will need to think very carefully about each action you take, and each word that you speak.

If you feel a need to have an advisor or teacher as you develop psychic power, you will also need to evaluate them at the beginning of your learning, and all throughout the time you associate with them. Among other things, it is important to realize that your teachers must also grow and evolve on their own paths. In the process, their sense of what is responsible and ethical may easily change from yours.

It is up to you to use your ability responsibly and careful.
